Lugar da Veiga SLL was set up in January 2005 in order to start up the business project entitled “DAVEIGA producción responsable” (DAVEIGA responsible production). During that first year the technical design of its facilities was implemented, which led to the product development phase, and in June 2006 “Galletas Marineras” was launched in the market.
The workshop, located in “Os acivros” industrial estate in Chantada (province of Lug), has a surface area of 2,200 m² and a production capacity of up to 4,000 kg of “Galletas Marineras” per day.
QUALITY, FOOD SAFETY
We use only natural ingredients of the highest quality, rejecting the use of genetically-manipulated ingredients and using additives, aromas, colouring matter and artificial preservatives.
Our workers control and participate in our business project, which is committed to local development and social economy, with absolute priority is attached to stable employment contracts and optimum working conditions.
COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENT AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT
Our socioeconomic and environmental commitment is based on the sustainable use of local resources. It concerns a project in respect to the environment, labor intensive and with a preference for fresh ingredients from or processed in our immediate environment.
The profit margins applied are extremely reasonable. The price is established largely with the objective of guaranteeing the project’s feasibility, and decent working conditions.
